I wasn't happy with myself and the weight I had gained but I was stuck in a rut, doing nothing about it. I didn't have the knowledge or confidence to start up at a gym on my own and knew I would benefit from someone's experience. My main goal was to lose some weight and gain more confidence in both my appearance and attending the gym. Josh has been a superstar since day one! He has been very accommodating and understanding. Nothing has been too much trouble for Josh, whether it's rearranging appointments, explaining exercises, answering questions on text, supporting recovery post-accident or talking food and benefits of eating right. He has always been patient and polite and ensured i have fully understood what we were doing and why we were doing it! The knowledge i have gained since working with Josh has been invaluable and he has changed my life for the better. I have loved every session I have done with Josh (except "something fun" ;) *joking mate :D* ). The exercises we have done have always been explained which has aided my progress towards my goal of losing weight and gaining confidence. I found the exercises easy to understand and performing them now, to the best of my ability, is not a problem. However, I had continued to struggle with diet until a few months ago. Perhaps due to complacency or still a overhang of low confidence I wasn't putting as much effort into my diet as I was my exercise, Josh had explained what good nutrition was and the benefits it brought but I still found myself over indulging in snacks or ordering takeaways. However, I feel as though I managed to get a firm grip on my diet and takeaways are a thing of the past with a new slow cooker paving the way! Eating less rubbish, cutting out takeaways and eating more healthy has definitely made me feel fresher and expanding on my cooking skills has also given me a little boost in confidence. Cannot put into words the difference that I feel. Being able to fit into clothes which had become too small or too tight is such a great feeling. Before working with Josh, I would have been wearing a jumper in 30 degree heat - now I feel confident enough to head out in just a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. I am very happy with the progress I have made but I don't want to stop here. There is still so much more to do and to continue improving on my health.
I saw someone I follow on Instagram share Josh’s post about the 10 day challenge & at the time I had decided to knuckle down after I’d put weight back on after running a marathon due to the decreased training & post marathon slump. So it seemed a really good way to help me get my focus back & for £10 it was an absolute bargain! My main goal was to lose weight & because I lost the most weight during the 10 days (3.9KG!) I then won an 8 week programme! 🤩 The information Josh sends through at the beginning is so helpful, there’s not many questions I needed to ask as the info was so thorough, but when I did need clarification on something he was really helpful & he has been really supportive. It’s about trusting the process as well which I knew I could do having seen the achievements of his other clients. I quite liked the fact that although weight was taken to monitor progress at certain points for obvious reasons, it wasn’t the only way of measuring progress & the programme actually makes you think about healthy habits as well like water intake, sleep, daily steps which I think have massively contributed to my progress. At the beginning I was worried about hitting the macros & getting the daily protein in but that becomes second nature when you know you have a goal to hit & you start seeing the difference in your body composition when you get it right. It has completely shifted my mindset on food as well & I no longer turn to food for comfort & am in control of my appetite due to hitting the macros & eating the right foods. The exercise element was made really flexible for me to do at home to fit around my existing running commitments & family life & I loved that as I felt it was more achievable & easier to remain consistent with. Combining the 10 day challenge & the 8 week programme I lost 2 stone, 18.5 inches & dropped 2 dress sizes so it has been an amazing experience so far. As well as this my running times & how I feel after running has significantly improved too so the conditioning side of it is clearly helping with that! I am really happy & looking forward to doing the Phase one bootcamp & seeing what I can achieve on that 😊 100% would recommend & have had friends ask me about what I have been doing after sharing my weight loss
I wanted to have a better plan in place for the gym rather than going the gym 4/5 times a week and not really going anywhere. I didn’t understand why I wasn’t getting any stronger so I wanted help with that. I wanted to get fitter and stronger. Doing something like this is something I would normally find quite daunting but Josh has made it easy and comfortable he always offers advice and is always open to answering any questions that I have had over the time we have worked together. The process at the beginning was easy and straightforward. The programme has been nothing but enjoyable I really enjoy the variety in the work outs and have a new found love for barbell work! I have also been able to speak to Josh if I was struggling with certain exercises or aspects of my nutrition plan. One of the main positives for me was the fact that I never felt guilty for having a weekend away eating whatever or enjoying an evening out the balance has been perfect thanks to Josh not being extremely strict especially with dieting I knew if I had one bad day or meal it wouldn’t matter as I could just get straight back to plan with minimal damage done. Signing up to coaching has made me accountable and has helped me push myself to the limit and work harder than I have before I can’t recommend it enough. I have never been prouder I never thought I would be able to change my life this much in such a short space of time! I’ve never felt better and I can’t wait to continue the journey! I think if anyone is even thinking about coaching I would recommend Josh 100% and have done to numerous people already. Having an actual plan in place for your fitness and health is life changing.
I decided to sign up with Josh as I’d got no real direction with my fitness journey. I was lacking confidence and needed help building this. Josh was brilliant at the beginning I had my pictures took and I was weighed. He explained that this is a journey and not something we’re cramming into 12 weeks. Josh has the most amazing level of patience, he never tires of repeating himself. Which he quite often had to with me. His knowledge never ends and every day is a school day. Every thing is always explained and the reason behind it. I am pretty useless at times with the nutrition element but again this is something that Josh has gently gave me confidence with. My eating habits were terrible before hand and a real unhealthy outlook on eating too much but in actual fact I now know what to put in to get the results I want to achieve. I feel amazing and not just physically but mentally too. This year I’ve felt confident in just throwing what I want on without worrying about any part of my body. I feel leaner and my waist is smaller. I’ve had compliments from people who haven’t seen me for a while which makes the hard work worthwhile. Aside of his amazing knowledge in the fitness industry Josh is a lovely approachable person who makes you feel at complete ease. I feel like Josh is excelling at what he does and is one of a kind in the industry
I asked josh about his online plan in preparation for a holiday. I had done bootcamps in the past, 8 weeks and quick results. However, this became a yo-yo and I felt I needed to educate myself on nutrition further as I was sick of losing weight and then putting it back on. The plan has done just that, I have been away on overnight stays, drank alcohol, eaten chocolate and takeaways but managed to stick to my goals! It’s enabled me to see food as fuel and not label it “good and bad” I’ve just enjoyed everything I love in moderation. The training plan was easy to follow and josh supported me throughout, he would adapt it if and where necessary and explained why we were doing what we were doing. Always being a cheerleader when a PB was hit! The programme was tailored to me and my individual goals. It’s pushed me out of my comfort zone. I cut classes down from 4 a week to just 1 and started using the gym more, now I love this! I was able to Incorporate this alongside a busy job and life and it’s a plan I’ll continue to use after holiday! I'm so glad I invested in this as I feel going forward I now have the tools to make this a lifestyle and not just holiday prep! I’m actually really shocked at my results. You don’t always see the changes yourself and so seeing the side by side shots have made me realise the changes that were made along the way! Josh is also just a standup guy and has become a mate, can’t thank him enough! I have recommended Josh to family and friends and will continue doing so!
I received a GLOWING recommendation from Yasmin. I Wanted to work on my gym confidence, build a proper gym structure with me having a busy schedule. Tone up and lose weight in a healthy sustainable way. Josh has been great throughout, he worked everything out for (macros, calories etc) I didn’t even have to worry about that, as it was all done for me. He clearly knows loads about fitness and nutrition, and it’s so refreshing for a male PT to have taken the time to understand the menstrual cycle and how it can affect motivation and weight fluctuations! After having 2 babies in 18 months I didn’t really recognize my body anymore. Having always been into fitness I was desperate to build my confidence again in the gym and get back on track with a healthy lifestyle. I decided to sign up with Josh because he has experience with postnatal fitness and is also a parent, and so would understand my lifestyle and priorities. Josh has always been friendly and gave clear guidance in the beginning. I love Josh’s down to earth and friendly nature. He’s great at pushing you but also being flexible and understanding that life happens. Honestly at first I was little worried and skeptical with the strength training element of the program as I didn’t know if my body could handle it. Josh told me to go at my own pace and start small with weights, so I listened to my body and I quickly gained confidence and strength back. As time went on I slowly started to feel more like me and I finally don’t feel so ‘postpartum’ anymore and actually feel strong AF again! I loved that Josh included the mobility stuff but I did find it difficult to include this in my sessions simply due to being a busy parent and time restrictions. However I am more mindful of this now and am working on trying to do these sat home beforehand. Overall I’ve absolutely loved the program and it’s been great to keep me accountable and consistent. When I started I told Josh I didn’t want to track my food as I’ve done it in the past and know how to eat intuitively, and he was totally fine with this. I did however decide to track on occasions and it turned out to be really great in making me realize that I was actually overeating a lot. That has really helped me to make better food decisions particularly when trying to increase my protein. Honestly I feel incredible compared to how I did in September. I feel so much better in my clothes now and looking in the mirror I can just tell I’m a lot leaner. I still have a lot of work to do but Josh has really helped me be more mindful of water intake, steps, calories etc as well, and I’ve become consistent with my workouts. I have met and exceeded the goal I started with which was to increase confidence in the gym with my lifts, increase strength, and get back into eating better and consistently working out.
First and foremost was weight loss. After covid I’d gotten my self to a point where I was completely out of routine with both my diet and gym structure. The thought of going back to the gym was exciting but I needed someone to give me direction and purpose which is why I reached out to Josh Josh made it really easy to understand how I was going to reach my goal of weight loss, but what I really benefited from was the constant check in’s and much needed boosts when I felt like I’d hit a brick wall or felt my self plateauing out. The journey was completely bespoke and it was so easy to tailor when either Josh or myself felt it was needed. He’s also proper sexy I’ve been on plan with Josh now since January and the biggest win for me that Josh has given to me is CONSISTENCY. The plan has always been suited to me and I have found my self benefitting directly from it. Both initially from wanting to lose weight, right up until now which is maintenance I’m now in the best shape I’ve ever been in. Which was never the original goal. After initially joining the gym to supplement my love of running, I started to enjoy the process and structure to gym based workouts. Josh was always available to ask questions to even before becoming a client and his ethos seemed fitting to my overall journey. Looking to develop my strength training and ensure that I was doing things progressively and looking at it holistically, then Josh seemed the natural choice to ask to guide me. Goals have developed to build a balanced strength that supports my love of athletic endurance alongside learning about the nutrition needed to fuel. Josh’s calm and laid back approach has been perfect. His knowledge is implemented in a step by step approach. He communicates these thoroughly and will always answer any question, no matter how small. I have a tendency to overthink my training and my perfectionist trait can lead to overtraining. Josh has been instrumental in allowing me to train effectively and rest when needed. I found the best thing is to trust Josh’s word to the letter as he always has my best interests at heart. Even when it comes to taking a break from the mental fog of training, counting calories and hitting targets. Josh designed the initial phase to include my love of running and incorporate cardio circuits to target initial weight loss. Sessions always looked to build a fundamental base of good technique and building blocks ready for the next steps. Workouts changed to muscle building focus and Josh explained the structure to these well. The first 8 weeks of base building was key and now entering the second phase the progress has been phenomenal. Josh understands my weekly structure and works around any hurdles I throw his way. I couldn’t be happier. I feel stronger, healthier and happier in my body than ever before. I have been able to progress across the board and take the strength work and even see improvements in my running. Photos at 12 weeks were staggering and I can’t wait to see what the next phase will bring. 100% - Josh has a balanced and well rounded approach to training. He understands the stresses of family life and sees training as a life king learning experience not a quick fix.
I wanted to gain confidence within the gym and more of an overall lifestyle change not a quick fix! He was very professional and made me feel comfortable throughout. Can have a laugh together and he’s always at the other end of the phone if I need help which has helped me massively I feel like I am more confident and I know what to do now to have a healthy lifestyle and not just a quick fix! The workout plan was very detailed and structured, if I wanted to change anything it was done straight away! I wanted to build more self-confidence and also confidence in using the gym equipment more. My main goals were to become leaner, build muscle & gain more strength. Josh was really helpful and explained in great detail how things would work between us. He’s become a huge level of support and is such a positive influence for me. His impressive level of knowledge in everything he guides me in is very encouraging also. I can clearly see this in my results after just such a short space of time. I’ve had some highs, some lows, a lot of wins, all of which Josh has been there to support me, encourage me or to help me to re-focus if needed. He’s a positive influence for sure. I wanted to gain more confidence in the gym, tone up and drop a dress size, I needed nutrition guidance that was sustainable and not overly strict which allowed me to stay on track. Josh explained everything I should expect from the programme and the support was incredible, patience is a key factor because I can be a massive pain in the arse but he handled it like a pro. I throughly enjoyed all my time on the programme, ups and downs but I was always reassured that I should never be to hard on myself, I loved the structure and being accountable, never felt restricted and I can now say that it's part of my lifestyle and I can't wait to start again, would definitely recommend.
I honestly can’t thank and recommend josh enough!! I reached out 6 weeks before my wedding hoping to get in a little better shape for my big day, he replied pretty much straight away and got me booked in for the following week. I was extremely nervous about my first time in the gym but josh was supportive and encouraging from day one! Over the last 6 weeks he’s been amazing, so supportive and regularly checked in on my progress and took a genuine interest in my goals. His weekly plan and check ins are an amazing way to keep on track and I now feel confident enough to go in the gym on my own and with josh! After doing numerous amounts of bootcamps in the past I wanted to be educated on maintaining a good lifestyle in and out of the gym and learn more about the nutrition side. I wanted a long term sustainable plan to fit in with a busy social life without yo-yoing up and down and feeling the need for a quick fix with a bootcamp. Josh was excellent from start to finish, always on hand to explain the progress of the program and give my head a wobble when it fell off and a kick up the arse when it was needed. Josh wrote me a personalised program to suit my goals and we adjusted to suit my training style. He added in some of the exercises I enjoy. On the nutrition side, the food never felt restricted and calories were never taken to an uncomfortable level. If we had nights/days out planned (which there was plenty of), Josh made adjustments to allow us to relax and enjoy our downtime I feel great, enjoying training and sticking to a sustainable plan which I can continue with after our holiday without feeling restricted even weirdly, I enjoyed the cardio most days! I would most definitely recommend Josh, he is very experienced and knowledgeable on both sides nutrition and training without being to restrictive and understanding that it’s not all about the after pictures, but more about enjoying the training/nutrition and having a life in the process. He has definitely helped me realise I can go out enjoy my weekends when having things planned without over thinking I've undone all the progress I've made in the week.
I wanted to look and feel my best for my wedding, but I also wanted to gain 1. Confidence in a gym environment (having been doing home workouts since lockdown, and mostly classes/cardio in the gym before that), and 2. Knowledge about macros and my nutrition. Josh was so informative when I started my journey and hugely understanding when I had to delay starting because of having Covid. No question was too silly, and I didn’t feel left to my own devices even with an online coach. Josh was super accessible and approachable. The programme was super tailored to me, especially when I had a lower back injury. But what was best about Josh was how human and funny he is. It was like messaging a mate most of the time (even rinsing me for wearing weight lifting gloves). I loved the programmes that Josh created for me. He knew what I could commit to, and didn’t judge me when the nutrition was a little off due to life getting in the way. When I was suffering with my back, we stripped back some of the aggravating moves. He went above and beyond, with stretch videos for me, and even just words of support when I thought it would derail my progress. Knowing how attuned I am to the scale weight, he pushed me to focus on PBS and my mindset towards building strength completely changed. I am much more comfortable in my own skin, and even better, more comfortable in my wedding dress! I feel confident entering the gym and weight lifting, and I am ready to continue pushing out of my comfort zone. My results are a product of never feeling constricted or shamed for enjoying life whilst working with Josh. I would definitely recommend Josh l, he has been amazing and I’ve seen so many changes, both mentally and physically, that I’d recommend him to anyone.
After doing josh’s class every Monday morning for a long time I knew he was very friendly approachable and knowledgeable when it comes to fitness, my main goal was to regain my confidence in the gym, using the equipment again, I also wanted to lose a little body fat but mainly tone up. I found Josh amazing all the way through the process, always there to answer any questions I had whether it was using the equipment in the gym nutrition and also helping me overcome a long term shoulder injury, which I am very grateful! I really enjoyed the whole program, I can honestly say I didn’t feel restricted diet wise, I've just learned to incorporate the foods I like which in turn has made the process a lot more enjoyable than when I've done these programs before, I've really enjoyed getting back in the gym after just doing classes for years, I even went in the gym on my own which is a massive thing for me. I decided to sign up with josh because I saw the work he was doing with my sister, the progress she was making and how down to earth Josh was. I came to josh with the goal of weight loss, I always struggled with confidence in the gym however since starting with Josh my confidence has reached a whole new level. When I first started with Josh he explained everything in detail, how everything would work and the idea of the plan he gave me. During my time with Josh he was amazing always there when I needed help or something explaining he never let me slack off. He's taught me a lot over the last 8 weeks about the gym and nutrition. Over the last 8 weeks my experience was awesome he helped me a lot to get to where I am now in time for my holiday. The programme he gave me helped me a lot with structure and fitting in the sessions with a schedule that suited me. At the start I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep it up and eat healthy the whole 8 weeks which I managed to do to an extent. He helped me to keep on track always making sure I was eating the right things and sticking to the programme. When I first started I wasn’t content with my body but with Josh pushing me along and keeping me going, I couldn’t be happier with where I am now. I feel great. I couldn’t recommend josh enough to anyone. Josh is one of the most down to earth people I’ve ever met, he’s strict, doesn’t let you give up but you can always have a laugh with him, he’s a fantastic coach and to anyone looking for a PT he’s the guy.
The reason I signed up with Josh was down to how I was feeling mentally not just how I felt physically. At the start, I needed something new to focus on to help me move forwards. Josh was very professional and didn't put to much pressure on me at the begining or during the process, he guided me and filled me with knowledge to help me get to where I wanted to be. Josh's sessions were enjoyable but also challenging. The sessions were all based around my work/home life schedule and each session was adapted accordingly during the programme. Mentally and physically I am feeling so much better, getting back into the gym and having the help from Josh has got me through the last few months. I would 100% recomend Josh to anybody looking to improve their mental and physical state through exercise.
I had done a previous online challenge with Josh and really enjoyed it. I go to the gym regularly and like to push myself to try different things especially because I had a holiday coming up and wanted to feel more confident so this seemed a good programme to tick those boxes. Josh was really helpful explaining how the online side of things worked which isn’t something I have done before, he checked in regularly and was there on hand should I need any support. He has always been friendly and approachable and makes you feel comfortable. To be honest doing an online based programme is something I felt a bit daunted by the gym before, but absolutely have changed my views on that. The end of the day/week check in is good for keeping focus. There was also a PT session within the programme so that helped push it even further. I understood exactly what I needed to do and there were links from my programme into videos on how to use the equipment which was really good. I am happy with my results, I wanted to feel strong in the gym and confident going on holiday and I feel great. I would recommend Josh to friends and family and if you are considering doing the online approach I would take the plunge with Josh.
I signed up with Josh to build muscle and gain knowledge of gym equipment and to have structure to workouts. At the beginning Josh took my measurements which he talked me through. Josh's mentoring has been exceptionaI throughout. I think he's extremely knowledgeable and has always been patient with me throughout the last 16 weeks. My experience with the programme overall has been really a positive one. At first it was a bit daunting with calories and nutrition, but I managed to keep the foods in that I enjoy, so once I got into the swing of things, I had no problems. The workouts were set out in a table. Which were easy to follow with plenty of variety. Each workout also had a video demonstration which was a big help and much needed. Me personally, I am extremely happy and quite shocked if I'm honest at the results achieved. I've definitely exceeded my expectations. I feel fitter and more comfortable with my body than ever before. I would 100% recomend Josh he's an easy going approachable guy and it's been a joy have him mentoring me these last 4 months. Ps it's an added bonus that I can see my abs for the first time.
After having to postpone my wedding last year when I started dress fittings again my dress was, let’s say ‘snug’ and I wasn’t happy! I was doing 3 classes a week but my nutrition was awful and I needed to be guided and be accountable to someone to get me on track and give me the help and confidence to use the gym again rather than just classes. Josh has been brilliant, very knowledgeable and supportive. Never makes you feel silly when asking questions. Understands wanting a balance of life and still getting results. Perfect balance of banter and pushing for the best results. I was worried about fitting all of the workouts in around work & life, didn’t alway complete all set workouts but did as much as possible in that respect and kept to my nutrition whilst still having nights out, meals, events but with planning for them and tracking 100% it hasn’t affected me achieving what I wanted to and more! I’ve achieved so much more than what I set out to and what I thought I would and I’m very happy. I’m going to go away and enjoy my wedding and my holiday feeling so much more confident in myself. I’ve had lots of experience with PT’s in the past, some positive, some negative but have nothing negative to say about Josh and his approach, I would recommend him 100% to family and friends. I started training with Josh to gain confidence in the gym and also lose weight and tone up. Josh is very approachable, really helpful at explaining things in away that I can understand! He is super knowledgeable and his little tips and tricks have stayed with me when I'm in the gym on my own. I signed up with Josh as I'd been unhappy for quite a few years with how I was physically and also how I was mentally - I'd been suffering for several years with health anxiety which put me off doing any exercise at all due to a fear of the exercise making me feel unwell, even fearing I could have a heart attack! I was in by far the worst physical shape of my life which only exacerbated the problem. Previously I had always been fit and healthy, played lots of sports so It had become a real struggle for me. I was stuck in an unhealthy, vicious cycle and I really needed to do something about it. I'd followed Josh on Instagram for a little while and he was also recommended to me when I told people I was thinking about getting a PT. After looking through Josh's way of working on his social media posts and having a quick chat with him, I felt like his way of working would suit me. My main aims were to lose weight and regain my confidence by facing the fear of exercise that had built up over time. I decided to take the plunge and sign up to get started. It was genuinely one of the best decisions I have ever made. From day one, Josh has been brilliant. I’ve always been open with him about my health anxiety and the worries I had at the start. I never felt judged and was sure that Josh really wanted to help me get back on track again. Josh explained at our first meeting that this would be a long process, with sustainable lifestyle changes which was music to my ears. I wasn’t interested in doing crash diets and burning myself out with extremely intense workouts every day. After the initial weigh in and first session, Josh sent me a thorough information pack which was really helpful, especially for the nutritional info which I didn’t know much about, and then my first bespoke exercise plan. What I really liked about this weekly plan was that the exercises had video instruction links made by Josh, as a lot of my plan is weight training and I had never really done that in the past, there was lots of exercises I didn’t know or hadn’t done before, having the videos is really useful. Whenever I’ve had questions for Josh, whether that be around how what muscles an exercise is working, tips on training, nutrition or anything at all related to the process with him, he’s always been really helpful and knowledgable. I’ve been working with Josh for almost exactly one year now and it’s been incredible. I’m far more knowledgable on nutrition now and properly fuelling my body in the right way. I can’t stress enough how much I’ve loved the exercise program. It’s been tough (as it should be!) but I’ve really enjoyed it. I can remember going to my first session with Josh 12 months ago and being genuinely terrified of passing out or having a heart attack etc from the exercise and just being scared of going to the gym. Now it couldn’t be any more different, I’m night gym 5 days a week and loving it, I can’t imagine life without it now, it’s so important to me and my physical and mental wellbeing. Josh has been really good with changing my schedule when needed due to any work commitments etc and other things outside of the gym like football and adjusting my weekly schedule to work around things like that. Nothing has ever been an issue. As I said before this is supposed to be a sustainable lifestyle change, so I’ve had holidays, meals out, weekends away, illnesses etc during the last 12 months and we’ve always worked around those accordingly, it’s all part of the big picture and learning that has been important for me. The weekly check in sheet I fill out for Josh detailing my daily cals, steps, workout etc has been really useful as it keeps on me on track and makes me accountable to someone, which is something I really needed, I wouldn’t have made as much progress without it. As above, compared to when I started i couldn’t be more different. I’ve gone from being afraid of exercise and the gym to loving it. I’m the healthiest and fittest I’ve been for years. I’m also stronger than I’ve ever been, I never really did much weight training in the past and tbh, when starting the program I was into concerned about weight loss, now with the weight training I want to start to tone up more and gain more strength, something I’ve previously not been concerned with. I’ve lost over 14kg, over 7.5% body fat and gained a lot of strength. I am happy with my results SO FAR but I still want to continue to get to where I want to be, and working with Josh I know I can achieve my long term goals. I would 100% recommend PT with Josh to anybody. As I said at the start, it’s genuinely been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s helped me to turn my life around. I’m happy with the physical change I’ve made, and I’m even happier with the improvements it’s made to my mental health and my confidence in the gym. We always have a laugh in my weekly PT sessions, it feels like I’m going to the gym with a mate who really knows their stuff and is there to help me. I can’t thank you enough mate!
I decided to sign up with Josh because I really wanted to make a change to my lifestyle and always felt too intimidated to just start on my own as I had minimal gym experience and I felt like I just didn’t know what I was doing for the goals I had in mind! I didn’t want to lose weight I just wanted to tone up and get a big booty and my friend recommended Josh as she’d had such great results previous! Josh was so thorough and the welcome pack pretty much covered every question I had and anything I wasn’t sure on he was only a message away no matter the day or time! I felt like he always had the time to help or offer me advice. At one point I had pulled my back (through my own Neanderthal-ness) and he regularly checked in on me and gave me exercises to help with my injury. I really have enjoyed this program and genuinely felt gutted that he won’t be there to hold my hand haha! But I honestly feel I have such a knew found confidence and love (kinda) for the gym! Josh’s program made me realise I don’t have to be on a strict diet to achieve the goals I desire and I have gained such a better relationship with food and exercise around my shifts with work. Josh adapts the program to benefit your goals and I can really feel the difference both physically and mentally. I feel like I have can definitely see the change in my body and I am excited to carry on with my journey. I feel so much better in myself now I have got a healthy routine and even on the days I feel like I could skip the gym I always feel so great after I’ve been.
My goals were to establish consistency and accountability in my training. When we first started we took a full body measurements and used that as the basis for target setting. From here we were up and running quickly and within weeks I felt noticeably stronger. Joshes thorough knowledge of lifting technique / form was especially helpful in those early stages. At first Josh did all the programming which was really helpful as he knew exactly what I needed and tailored a plan to help me build muscle which has yielded great results. As my ability level developed Josh gave me the tools to customise a program around exercise I both enjoyed and had a good muscular connection with. I feel much stronger and fitter but have also developed a level of discipline around health and fitness that I never had previously. I would absolutely recommend Josh to my family and friends.
I Needed some professional guidance in training, especially with nutrition. I find Josh , very professional with my PT sessions! He doesn’t over complicate. I feel that results are slowly happening, this boosting my confidence, with great advise and support from Josh. The programs were really beneficial , challenging though at times , nutrition part is slowly getting there . Love when the program changes, giving me more motivation. I'm More confident , with my body , head held high . The results have been fantastic, more to improve on though . I would definitely recommend Josh to my family and friends.
Wanted to crack on with fitness again and be accountable to someone other than the queen of excuses (me). Had seen what Josh was achieving with his clients on socials and he’s a Brookes so it was a no brainer! It can sometimes be hard merging professional life with family but Josh was a top coach from the off. Treated me like any other client and was patient while we got into the swing of things. I loved the initial “just get moving” to get back into confidence and routine at the gym. I’ve had coaches in the past that have had the attitude that they know best - which they do - but Josh listened to what I enjoyed, what I was good at and what I wanted to improve on. He worked with me positively and with encouragement to make sure sessions were both enjoyable and worthwhile. Without Josh, I’d be a lump of lard. I’ve gone from a relatively active job and minimal job to an incredibly sedentary job with more gym. Josh has helped to maintain an enjoyment for training and helped build it into my routine. He’s also helped to reframe thoughts and ideations - especially when I’m obsessing over Love Island!
Josh has a high level of knowledge in what he does. He is patient and explains everything to you before your ready to action the movement/exercise by showing an example and explaining which muscle it will be working. The programme has been brilliant. I was worried about my fitness in the gym but I’ve actually surprised myself sometimes with the weight I’ve been lifting. Nutrition is always a hard one for me as I am a fussy eater however with Josh’s guidance I am now more aware of what I am eating and I’m eating a lot healthier and better than before. Water intake has gone up massively! I’m very happy with the results, I have seen a change in my body over the course of the programme. I am now feeling more confident & overall healthy.
